Under pressure in the mountains: how chamois cope with climate change, human recreation, and the return of large carnivores

Anne Loison is a senior researcher in the Alpine Ecology Lab in the University Savoie Mont Blanc in France. She’s interested in the evolution, ecology and behavior of mountain mammals, based on the long term monitoring of marked individuals. She focuses on the impact of changes in climate, land use, animal communities (return of large carnivores, increase of red deer) and human activities on a whole mountain ecosystem, working with an interdisciplinary approach (with sociologists, geographers, psychologists and research in sport science).
